Everyone knows this famous home-made pie. I always suggest tourists to visit this no-nonsense café at the Noordermarkt. Why I love it so much? It reminds me of the apple pie my mum used to make when I was a little girl. A great one! Don’t forget the whipped cream!”

The Noordermarkt, in the middle of the ‘Jordaan’, is known for its great organic market (Saturday mornings), vintage clothing market (Monday mornings) and its friendly atmosphere. You can find Winkel 43 right on the corner. The restaurant opens early in the morning and closes at ten in the evening but the bar will stay open till well after midnight. They have a huge terrace where you can enjoy the sun any time of the day and not only do they serve their delicious Apple Pie, they also serve snacks, lunch and have an evening menu that changes daily.
