Eating chocolate is always a good idea.

My friend Linda gave me this great book last month: ‘Le Pain Quotidien – Alain Coumont’s Communal Table – Memories and Recipes’, full with amazing pure recipes and stories about the life of baking and cooking. What a great present! Many more recipes to come.

I promise, I’ll start the ‘healthy kind’ of chocolate tomorrow (raw), with a monday-morning-raw-cacao-banana-smoothie.

  • 250 gr dark chocolate
  • 250 gr butter
  • 250 gr eggs (4 to 5 depending on the size)
  • 250 gr fine custard sugar
  • 25 gr flour (3 tbl spoons)


  1. Pre-heath the oven to 140C.
  2. Chop the chocolate in rough pieces. Add them to a middle-large cooking pan with the butter. Heath the chocolate and butter au bain-marie, with low heating. Mix the ingredients well, once they're melted. Pour in a big bowl.
  3. Mix the sieved flour and the sugar and add it to the chocolate and butter. Add the whole eggs and mix. Leave it for 30 minutes.
  4. Pour the mix in small forms or one big oven plate (I did both, see photo's) and bake on 140C during 25 minutes (brownies 60 a 70 gr) or 35 minutes (brownies 90 a 120 gr).
  5. You can store them for about one week.
