Lately I've been really busy with Share Love Nots Secrets. Out of sheer passion and ambition, you find me a lot in the kitchen, photographing food and blogging like a crazy-person. Oh yes and of course: I spend a lot of time on experimenting with pulp and developing (pulp) recipes. And it's paying off!!! More and more people are finding their way to my blog and media notice my blog as well! This month you can find SLSN in Dutch glossy JAN. Very proud of course!!!
This is a treat in the morning! Or, any time really... The color might not be very appealing, but it's oh-s0-delicious. And super healthy too. Especially because of the spirulina. It is a feast to wake up with this one, trust me!
It was my plan to blog three times a week. Monday: Juicy- or shake-it-Monday. Wednesday a juice pulp recipe. Preferably one from the Monday-pulp. And Friday another recipe. It can be anything. From pasta to dessert, something healthy to a guilty pleasure, from sweet to savory and so on. Waiting till Friday with sharing this mindblowing-super-yummie treat? Don't think so!
I've never been to crazy about nut butters. Actually I mean: peanut butter as a child. A school lunchbox with peanut butter + regular butter sandwiches. Bbbbbrrrrr
Basil. When I think about the little things in life that make me happy, the scent of basil is definitely one of those things. Don't think I can ever get enough of it. A garden full of basil would be lovely. With basil that's alive and kickin'... Sounds like a dream right. I mean.. how? It's always so challenging to keep basil strong. My sister recently told me thé trick.
Recently I experimented quite a bit with pulp. As you might have guessed: this doesn't mean that everything works out... I am convinced, that I have to be able make a good pulp recipe for jam. It didn't work out just yet, but I'll hold on a little longer. Tips? Anyone ... ??!
It's 'blue Monday' today. Apparently the most depressing day of the year... It was pretty misty in Amsterdam, blue actually. Check out the photo I made this morning from the Amsterdam canals. I didn't use a filter. YES. I. WAS. BLUE. Anyhow, it did not feel blue! I had a nice early start today, kinda rare since I like to work till late... (definitely need to change that habit...!) and I was super productive (yes-i-do-need-to-change-that-habit)! I figured that this spinach pineapple apple lemon juice, with a subtle tropical touch, would be nice for blue Monday. Or is it to confronting...?!
I used to make roasted vegetables all the time. It’s a real taste explosion if you ask me! These fries are like that, just a different way of preparing. It’s the healthy variation of fries. And so easy to make.
Nothing better than home made sauces! I have never made mayonnaise before, but it's really not as difficult as I thought. Or I was scared to use raw eggs > use fresh eggs. Anyhow... it's sooooo worth it!
Also very nice without the pulp, just with avocado!
There is one juice that I drink most of the time: the ultimate juice, the detoxer, green juice, the kick-my-ass and wake- me-up-before-we-go-go juice. This juice contains apple, cucumber, ginger, lemon and wheatgrass. I usually drink it 2-3 times a week in the morning. Half a litre ... I've been so into pulp recipes, but didn't use this pulp before... I know, it was about time I'd come up with something that suits this pulp. And now it's here: the spread!
